Oaklawn Meet Plagued by Bad Weather
With six of the first 16 days of the meet cancelled, Oaklawn racing has ground to a halt. This is not an uncommon and I wonder if Arkansas Racing Officials should look to starting this meet a week or two later then currently scheduled.
I know I have had several trips cancelled in the past few years and this can not be good for business.
What do you think?

Another Oaklawn Trip Cancelled (Again)
When will I learn that getting to Oaklawn for my birthday will never happen. This is the third year in a row that racing was cancelled when we were scheduled to be in Hot Springs.
This year hurts. My son Brian is joining the US Army in April and we were set to make this his send off.

What's Up With The OTB's in OKC
In the past couple of month's two of Remington's four OKC off-track-betting facilities have closed. What's up with that?
In November the Hog Wash Bar-B-Q at Reno and Council removed its betting operation. And in a big surprise, the popular Sports Page at the Biltmore hotel closed for good on New Year's Eve.
Currently the only active OTB's are Thunder Roadhouse on Memorial Road and Henry Hudson's in Midwest City.
I am wonder if this move is to drive more players into the new Henry Hudson's at the racino, but I really don't know.
